TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR USE OF PROMEDIA TECHNOLOGY INDONESIA ECOSYSTEM CONTENT FOR ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE COMPANIES

Artificial intelligence ( AI) has become increasingly used in today’s digital information age. In response to this growing development of AI technology, PROMEDIA TEKNOLOGI INDONESIA (PTI) and all media partners within the PTI ecosystem have a mission to oversee the use of this technology in producing information for public consumption.

PROMEDIA TEKNOLOGI INDONESIA (PTI) and all media partners in the PTI ecosystem also want to ensure that AI technology is used for positive purposes for the community and in accordance with journalistic rules and ethics applicable in Indonesia. 

To achieve this, all Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) companies must comply with the terms and conditions regarding the use of news and articles in media outlets within the PTI ecosystem. The following are mandatory terms and conditions. 

A. Content Ownership

All content published by media in the PTI ecosystem, whether journalistic or non-journalistic works, is the right of the relevant media and PTI, which is protected by the Copyright Law and legislation in Indonesia.

B. Unauthorized Use

It is strictly prohibited for AI companies to use content produced by (1) this media, (2) by other media that are part of the PTI ecosystem, and (3) by PTI.

C. Abuse of content

Any violation or abuse of these terms and conditions will result in legal action that may be taken (1) by this media and (2) PTI, including claims for damages and termination of access to content.

D. Law Enforcement

The applicable terms and conditions are governed by and adapted to Indonesian law. The competent Indonesian courts will handle any disputes arising from these terms and conditions.

E. Application for Permit

AI companies can apply for permission to use content produced (1) by this media, (2) by media that are members of the PTI ecosystem and (3) by PTI

Applications for permission must be submitted in writing to PTI and this media, containing detailed details of use, such as duration of use, purpose of use and other important and relevant information. 

F. Content Use License for AI

PTI can grant a content usage license to AI companies in the form of written permission that includes but is not limited to the license duration, usage limitations, and compensation that must be paid to PTI and media that are members of the PTI ecosystem. 

G. Changes to Terms and Conditions

PTI reserves the right to change the terms and conditions without prior notice. Any disputes arising from these terms and conditions will be resolved in a competent court in Indonesia.
